“Cheetah” Limited edition graphic number 14 released October, 1982 by Mirage Editions. 90 signed and numbered, 20 artist proofs, & three printers proofs. “Cheetah” is a huge sheet at 46 inches wide by 36.5 inches high. We rarely see the image with correct color representation and the photo in “the book” on page 148 of “The Art of Patrick Nagel,” simply doesn’t do her justice- the colors are off on the regular edition. I believe the colors in the book are more representative of the actual canvas not the serigraph. I do believe however some of the A/P edition can be true pink. It seems they tested some that way.
She’s definitely the epitome me a femme fatale. She was framed above my bed for quite a while but I’m finally saying goodbye because I got an offer I simply couldn’t refuse. Hopefully I’ll find another one! They do not pop up often and I do have a list for her. If anyone has one they are considering selling please contact me privately.
