Cleo (N. 18)

1983 \ 42″ x 36″ \ 90 s/n \ 15 a/p \ 3 p/p

“Cleo” is a Limited-edition serigraph (aka “silkscreen”) print.
Released in July 1983 (during Patrick Nagel’s lifetime). She is known as the 18th Lifetime-released graphic in “The Art of Patrick Nagel, ” the 1985 book by Elena G. Millie. “Cleo” is a large sheet. With borders she is 36 1/2″ high x 42″ wide. There are 90 hand signed & numbered, 15 hand signed artists proofs, & 3 printers proofs.

It was printed by Samper Silkscreen with 9 colors.  No other versions were ever released in any other format, making her all that more valuable.
She is becoming harder to find and typically gets a premium price. One of the most expensive Nagel prints to acquire in the 80s from galleries. Hands down one of the best Nagel images ever released. It will grab your attention every time you enter room. It is bold beautiful image on a huge sheet, notice the size. If you can find one, buy it.

I previously sold this example for an owner, a dear old friend of Patrick from Scattivodd Fine Arts. It sold to the first buyer on the “Cleo” wait list. One call and the seller’s price was met!
